on/off pain on side of neck that goes to ear/head area.where carotid artery is,does that mean it's blocked? i'm only 21.it's on the right side

Your carotid artery: is not blocked. Blocked carotid does not hurt. You may have some sort of infection or inflammation involving your ear or lymphnodes in neck or neck muscle spasms or even cervical strain or sprain.
