Ear infection: The pain in the neck can be from swollen lymph nodes, you may have an ear infection, you need to have it looked at.

Rarely artery: Nodes, muscles, referred pain from throat- tonsils and ears are much more likely. If outer ear hurts to touch, external otitis or middle ear may have an issue. Ent is the specialty.
