I had a dissection in my carotid artery in february. i still experience light pain in left jaw, ear and neck. is this normal?

Carotid dissection.: This may very well be a normal occurrence, but I'm assuming you've been back to your Vascular surgeon for regular evaluations and Doppler studies. If you have not, then I can't be sure.
