It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor. Carotid artery dissection is not common unless you have Marfan's. Wish you good health!

Not clear why you fear dissection unless you have had neck trauma, or genetic familial disorders. Neck pain and headaches can be due to many etiologies. Perhaps you might benefit from more extensive evaluation via a virtual consult on the paid portion of HT.
