My daughter has a constant cough, runny nose and tight chest. she has mild asthma and is using the venteze inhaler but it does not seem to be working.

Needs Eval: She may need additional medications added to her regimen. It sounds like she might have an allergic triggered asthma. If that is the case montelukast (singulair )can be added or perhaps an in haled steroid. At any rate, she needs to be reevaluated by your pediatrician and possibly referred to pediatric pulmonologist

See physician: Best to see an after hours pediatrician physician, urgent care physician, or ER to be safe. 4 years is young and asthma can become worse very fast.
