What are the symptoms of asthma or lung issues in an adult? occasional tightness in chest, short of breathe, but never to the point of cant breathe. was tested for asthma in 20s, given inhaler, but never needed it. can asthma go away?

Need differential dx: Occasional "chest tightness with shortness of breath" can be a symptom of mild asthma if it was provoked by an allergic reaction that you are familiar with..but in many young individuals it can also be a symptom of anxiety..need to sort it out
