Different types: Different types of tests, different thresholds and sensitivities. Some are qualitative, some are quantitative. Best will be to have a microscopic analysis or a urine sediment.

Odd results: This occurrence suggests a false positive or a false negative. Urine dipsticks can react to food dyes and other chemicals. Suggest repeat testing with microscopy.

20y/o female. Had a urine dipstick test done which came out positive for blood in urine but under examination in the lab they don't detect any red blood cells. What are the possible causes for this? (not on menstruation)
Routine. Urine lab results show color red but sample looked clear, blood small, slight cloudy and few bacteria, all else neg. No RBC found. Should this be tested again or is this a normal test?
