A member asked:

I have scoliosis stetching down from t6 to s4. it has been measured at 21. is running bad for my back?

Not necessarily: Any type of exercise that increases your core strength is ultimately good for your back health, as long as it does not create pain anywhere in your body. With a curvature of your degree, an orthopedist should be following you and can further guide you as to an appropriate exercise regimen.

No: So a 21 degree curve In an adult will usually not progress and does not usually cause any problems. You can continue all activities as tolerated and do not need to do anything differently than you would if you did not have it.
