Moderate: Gastrointestinal symptoms are fairly common with Xifaxan (rifaximin), and fatigue is such a common symptom that it is likely to be seen with any medicine. The sugar craving is a side effect I have not really seen with the Xifaxan, but all people like sugar, so if you are expecting to crave sugar, this is also likely to occur. Most side effects are mild and you can live with them for 2 weeks.
