A member asked:

My hands have slightly cramping on off and my left foot what can it be ? can it be als , it does not run in the family but diabites does?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hand cramping: ALS or a neuromuscular disorder is unlikely your case. ALS or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis occurs most frequently in men 40-50 years of age. The larger muscle groups of the arms or legs are affected first and manifest as difficultly in walking or incoordination. See your medical doctor to determine the cause of the hand cramping.
