No: Hand/foot cramps often have no clear cause. Though certain neurologic diseases can present that way, it is not typical. More common causes that you could test without seeing a doctor are dehydration or not getting enough calcium, magnesium, or vitamin d in your diet. Try drinking more water and taking a multivitamin daily for a month. If still a problem, see a doctor for thyroid testing, etc.

Nonspecific: Yes, cramps can be seen in ALS, but also in many muscle and nerve disorders, with electrolyte imbalance, and chemical changes, and medication reactions. Have your doctor analyze your current symptoms, meds, prior studies, and review your current status. Far more likely, your cramps are of benign causation.
