PCP: It's best to start with your primary care provider. He or she will be able to evaluate you thoroughly, including preliminary testing. At that point, the appropriate referral source can be determined. This is the best way to avoid unnecessary and costly visits to consultants that you may not need.

Depends.: If it in the skin,dermatologist or surgeon. If it is deeper, see a surgeon. If it is in or near the bone, a thoracic surgeon might be better at it.
