Garlic: Garlic is EXCELLENT for our health! It can help lower blood pressure (acts like an ACE inhibitor), help fight infections, and may help lower cholesterol. Unfortunately, cooking garlic diminishes it's efficacy.

Healthy: Garlic has been advocated as having positive effects on immunity and atherosclerosis. The only side effect would be the garlic breathe. I would recommend it fresh. I cannot even imagine some dishes without a touch of garlic.

Better than many: There is some tentative evidence that garlic can be helpful. It is certainly more helpful than salt, sugar, & fat! The only problem may be that the odor it causes in your saliva (breath) & sweat may bother others around you who do not eat garlic. Eat garlic with friends and all is good.
