Exercise for wt loss: A goal is to lose adipose, or fat. We burn fat principally after we have exhausted glycogen stores. Though not exclusively. For sure, Prolonged fasting will exhaust glycogen. Then you will burn principally adipose. But you will burn some protein stores as well. Thus morning exercise after overnight fast will target adipose. Do not eat carbs or fat then. Eat only protein to preserve muscle.

Nope: The important thing is to get the exercise, 30-60 minutes a day depending on your goals, your current health, etc. Exercising at night makes some people have trouble falling asleep.
