Costochondritis: Mid-thoracic spine pain with radiation around rib, worsening with respiration, positional changes can be contributed by many causes, including: degenerative joint disease/degenerative disc disease of the thoracic spine, intercostal neuritis, pleurisy, costochondritis. However, internal disorders may cause referral pain to the region, including gallbladder or bile duct etiology, esophageal spam.
