Mold poisoning: Yes it is possible to be affected by mold despite a normal test. No test is 100% sensitive, more than likely your chronic sinusitis is seondary to an allergen. Certain allergens might be- pollen, dander, types of mold, etc.... Hope that helps, Mo Majumdar, MD

Chronic sinusitis: There are many things which could be triggering your chronic nasal symptoms. The body can react this way to mold spores, pollens, animal dander-all kinds of things. Antibiotics only work against bacteria, and have very little role for this type of problem. You should see an allergist, or at least work with your primary medical doctor to control symptoms of allergy. U might need steroid nasal spray

Chronic Sinusitis: Hi, some believe the cause of difficult to treat Sinusitis is fungal infection, but these infections are very innocent in people with good immune response, I believe you have a very bad allergy, how about you see an Immunologist for further evaluation and treatment, they can test you for fungal infection, too, also a CT scan of your sinuses can give some answers.
