Can post nasal drip from chronic sinus infection 3 months..cause chest congestion/throat wheezing, especially at night when laying down or waking up? wheezing in throat is when exhaling and sounds crackling. congestion in chest is productive.

See doctor: Although chronic sinusitis may be associated with coughing and worsening in asthma, it does not per se cause a productive cough and expiratory wheezing. I suspect that you are suffering from asthma. Recommend that you consult an allergist who will likely be able to find out the cause for your chronic sinusitis and chest congestion. You may have upper airway obstruction which needs be considered.
