Achilles tear: Micro-tears in the Achilles tendon will produce pain or a dull ache. Most soft tissue pathology can be seen on MRI if read by a well trained radiologist. Any Achilles problems should be seen by a professional as the Achilles tendon is very important to the walking cycle.
