If ruptured achilles 5 years ago but never received treatment, would it heal incorrectly? would incorrect/abnormal healing show up on mri?

Potentially : Nonoperative treatment of Achilles' tendon ruptures can lead to healing, but usually a loss in strength. It is also possible it did not heal well. An exam and possibly an MRI will give a lot of information about the current state pf your Achilles.
