Might not be an : Ankle issue. Could be from a foot issue or even a knee, hip or low back issue causing improper biomechanics at the ankle effecting the achilles. Bursitis at the achilles may not always show on mri. Sometimes orthotics, p.T. Or even a steroid injection could help. See a sports doc.

If you had : Something on the bottom of the heel that the doc "cleaned out" then likely you had prior difficulty walking on this region. Your altered gait pattern could of strained and stressed the achilles. Tendon. If your in that much pain, try crutches with off weight bearing for 1-2 weeks.
