Crooked ?: Are your teeth not straight? Very hard to determine without seeing models of your teeth before you started treatment, your occlusion now, and your radiographs. If you really want a second opinion, you will need to call another orthodontist in your community for a consultation.

"6 month": Sounds like a Dentist tried to help you with a product called "6 Month Smile." If it sounds too good to be true... Please see qualified Orthodontic Specialist for evaluation (usually free or modest cost). Root length may be an issue (take your x-rays with you), and if so your solution may have to be a restorative one rather than an Orthodontic one.
