No: Mri or Ct of the brain will visualize the brainstem.

Not all of brainstem: Technically, the brainstem ends where the cervical spine begins. An MRI of the "entire" spine, therefore, is likely to miss the pons, medulla oblongata, and the other upper parts of the brainstem.
