A member asked:

Mri spine shows tiny hyperintensities in cerebral white matter. my neuro said she couldnt even see them on cd but now i need an mri of brain. whole thing started with tingling on bottom of feet. terrified of it being ms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sort out: MS is a clinical diagnosis, which can be confirmed by characteristic MRI patterns in both brain and spinal cord. Sounds like lesions seen incompletely in brain indirectly, and not in spinal cord. The foot tingling could be due to peripheral nerve issues, not MS. Sometimes, a second opinion can resolve confusing clinical pictures.
