Foot pain: This could be a tendonitis or an occult fracture. If this pain has persisted for more than a few days, I would seek medical attention.

Podiatric surgeon: This type of pain that radiates to the ankle may be a tendon or ligament problem especially if the toe doesn't look inflamed. See a podiatric surgeon or specialist if symptoms persist or worsen.
