A member asked:

My whole body is itchy- legs, arms, trunk, face. could it be the body wash i'm using (suave) or the laundry detergent (tide)?

See a dermatologist: No itch is ever helped by changing laundry soap. Probably not your body wash but you could change to a wash for dry skin (Dove, many others). Start with an effort to identify the cause.

Possibly: Contact allergies can occur when an allergen is in contact with the skin. Body washes, detergents, perfumes/colognes, cosmetics, metals, etc., can all cause contact reactions. The requirement is that the allergen must be in direct contact with the skin. It is rare for these allergies to affect the entire body. In your case, I'm more concerned about an underlying virus or environmental allergy.
