Sounds fungal: Would need more background information as there are several potential causes for rash such as this. However, ruling out fungal infection is at top of list. Coconut oil has good antimicrobial properties and may have helped calm an inflammatory reaction to the infection, but does not seem to have completed the task. Would see a physician to confirm and take antifungal medication.
