Possibly: Clostridium difficile is an infection in the gut most commonly when one takes antibiotics, particularly clindamycin. This is because clindamycin kills many of the healthy bacteria in your gut, allowing room for C. diff to grow. It may help to take a probiotic together with your antibiotic to help maintain your normal flora. Topical clindamycin cream does not reach your gut so it should be ok.
