I'm currently 12 weeks and 3 days pregnant got prescribed clindamycin for bv...is this safe to take during the first trimester?

Clindamycin ?'s: There are reports of some abnormalities attributed to clindamycin in the first trimester, so check again with your OB physician, as other studies have not confirmed harm in pregnancy for clindamycin. There are other antibiotics which have no associated problems in pregnancy, but your OB physician is best suited to make this decision.

Clindamycin: Clindamycin is safe in pregnancy. Your doctor would not have prescribed if it were not. Discuss with the doctor's office if you remain concerned.
