Different mechanism: Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) are often treated with neuropathic medicine (e.g. Gabapentin) or selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (Cymbalta/Duloxetine). Gabapentin works by mimic GABA receptors (mainly inhibitory receptors) in the synaptic pathway, reduce excitation of neurons. Duloxetine is believe to inhibit pro-inflammatory cytokines in the brain.
