24hours and 7days: 1) Once ovulation occurs, the egg is susceptible to fertilization (conception) for about 24 hours, +/- 2) Once fertilization occurs, the time required for the egg to travel through the fallopian tube to the uterus and implant is usually between 7 and 10 days.
