2 weeks approx: Ovulation and conception usually occur 14 days prior to the next period. Implantation usually occurs around 12-14 days after conception and, if successful, would cause a patient to skip her period. If you skip, get a pregnancy test immmediately.

Misinformed: Conception could occur as early as 12 hours but as late as a few days. After conception it takes a few days for the material to move through the tube and attach. If it attaches successfully, the cell mass begins to create hormones that signal pregnancy about 2 weeks after conception.
