Not likely: The symptoms that you describe are not typical of temporal arteritis and the tests that you had would not rule it out. An ESR with a temporal artery biopsy should suffice in ruling in or ruling out giant cell arteritis if the suspicion remains high enough per your physician. Hope it helps.

No: With temporal arteritis, there would be palpable tenderness in the temporal area of your head where the artery is located. Your doctor would have done a blood test called a sedimentation rate which would be very elevated. Your doctor would have also sent you to a specialist to get a biopsy of the artery if he/she was concerned about temporal arteritis. MRI/EMG done-your doc looking for other cause
