Be certain blood is drawn properly to get accurate blood potassium measurement. No tourniquet or fist pumping. Discuss with blood tech. Ask about hyperventilation problems with Dr.

Your post raises concern about a peripheral neuropathic problem, but an EMG would not exclude "Small Fiber Neuropathy". Certainly, other causes need to be considered. Highly recommend a second opinion from a neurologist.
