Certification: Board certification in podiatry in completely optional and there are many different boards that can certify podiatrists. This does not mean that they are better than any other podiatrist at either clinical or surgical podiatry, just that they have taken optional exams for additional credentials.... But, yes - all of us do both!

board certified: As another doctor stated , there are different boards. The reality is that it is an exam. It does not necessarily indicate competence with your hands. Sorry to disappoint the abps folks , but it is true. All of us do office based work including procedures like other doctors of other specialties as well as in-hospital procedures.
