More info needed: These are separate blood issues. Unless you have a thalassemia process as well, there should be no problem. You might ask your prospective spouse what type of thalassemia is present, as there are alpha and beta thalassemia traits. Best wishes.

Kids should be OK: G6PD and thalessemia are not related. You should be certain of your own thalessemia trait status to determine risk of severe anemia in your children. Thalessemia is chronic, G6PD crises are preventable, so thalessemia is the greater concern for your new family. Unless you are positive for thal, genetic testing can wait until after birth of your children.

Consult doctor: As you are with only mld G6PD and marrying a man with thalasimia carrier ,there are few possibilities for your kids to be 1.normal,2 -have mild G6PD ,3 -mild thlassemia trait (carrier) and 4 to have bothG6PD+THALASSEMIA .They may lead normal life, or may have mild hemolytic anemia . Better you discuss with your doctor
