Life style changes!: If you would like a structured program for gradual and permanent weight loss, join a group like Weight watchers for example. Some basic rules for weight loss are: Portion control, not skipping meals, cutting on high fat and high starchy carbohydrates, no soft drinks, no juices, whole grains, more vegetables and fresh fruits, lean meats and fish and gradual increase in exercise activity daily.

See links: I have not heard of the low FODMAP diet being used for weight loss; it is usually used for Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Colitis but might help weight loss too.
