Heart disease: The ejection fraction is decreased indicating a degree of heart failure, which could be caused by several things the most common being coronary artery disease or high blood pressure. The apical filling defect points towards coronary artery disease. Your husband's cardiologist will be able to give you more detailed answers after the angiogram and an echocardiogram. Good luck.
