My stress echo test noted: apical septal wall segment is hypokinetic (score 2). the apical anterior wall segment is hypokinetic (score 2). my ef score was 65-70. a subsequent nuclear stress echo found normal function. what does this mean?

The tests do not “see” the same things., Stress echo is very operator dependent. Or the segments see on echo are not big enough to show up on nuclear are some of the possibilities . Go to uptodate.com and read more then discuss with your Dr who knows more about u than we do.

The sequence is unclear. Abnormal wall motion occurring with stress and returning to normal at rest is abnormal unless the study was technically inadequate and misleading. The ejection fraction is normal. A normal nuclear stress echo suggests that you do not have a significant abnormality to suggest heart abnormality. These conflicting findings need to be explained by your cardiologist. Follow up
