Never use abbreviations in medical communications. Mean different things to different Drs and can be fatal. It means blood is no getting to par of your hear muscle (ischemia) at the pointy end of you heart. Discuss with Dr who has seen report and knowns you. If you smoke stop.

I just had a nuclear stress test and one of the conclusions was: Small size mild intensity reversible perfusion defect of the inferoapical segment with extension into the lateral apical segment consistent with ischemia. What does that mean?

I am 65 yrs old and my test show mild anterior apical ischemia EF 76% Stress test abnormal for mild ischemia .
Stress test stated moderate to severe ischemia anterior/apical. Heart cath says stress test false p,no blocks,but mild elevated EDP/LBBB. EF 55%. Doc says nothing to worry about no restirctions. Y?
