A member asked:

How long soes it take for the internal nasal swelling to subside after septoplasty?could it take months(upto 3 to 6 months)??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Several wks/ months: I often tell my patients they should be able to notice a significant difference in the first couple of weeks. Rarely I do have patients that need several months to improve. After 3 months if there is no significant improvement, I would re-evaluate the anatomy in case there was something else (i.e sinusitis that's was contributing to the the situation)
