Not Really: It is always dangerous to mix multiple sedating medications especially if you drink alcohol or take pain medication or other sedatives. In addition, prolonged use of Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for sleep can cause poor quality sleep due to disruption of resting brain wave patterns. Best to stick with Melatonin. See a sleep specialist if your insomnia does not improve.
