Sleep hygiene plus: Consistent sleep & wake hours; keeping a cool, dark sleeping room; no computer or tv in there; comfortable bedding; practice relaxation methods before sleep; establish a sleep ritual like hot bath, etc; no daytime naps; finish meals at least 3 hours before sleep; avoid alcohol, or caffeine within 4 - 6 hours of bedtime.
