I have sudden onset peripheral neuropathy of the feet. my feet are ice cold, numb and often times feels like someone has tightened a belt around my feet.what neuropathy do i have.tried at least 6 meds?

No clue: Many causes of peripheral neuropathy, and impossible to determine causation via internet question, as much more information and testing is required. See a local neurologist and proceed to find answers.

Peripheral neuro....: The most common is diabetic peripheral neuropathy but you need to discuss this with your doc and get a neurology consult if needed. There are several blood tests that need to be done if not done already. The neurologist may also need to do a MRI and Nerve Conduction Test to determine nerve velocities and try to determine the origin of the cause. Be prepared that it can be idiopathic, unknown.

Neuropathy diagnosis: These things are normally needed to find the cause of neuropathy: careful history and examination blood and urine tests EMG / nerve conduction studies Even so, there are many times the cause of neuropathy is not found. The medicines are often used to control neuropathy symptoms. They do not always help.
