I have constant chest pain everyday,numerous times.i have had tests,scans and no results.i still get pain everyday.what could be the problem?

Several Possibilitie: Possibilities include fibromyalgia, neuralgia, or parvovirus (Fifth Disease). Ask your physician if you've had a test for parvovirus. Also ask him/her if Gabapentin therapy would be helpful.

Many causes: Chest pain can have many etiologies some times the muscles and ligaments around chest are strained. This is common.Sometimes injury to ribs such as fracture cause pain with breathing.Inflammation of the lining of lungs, pleuritis is another etiology.The most serious problem would be pulmonary emboli from thrombus in legs or extremties.GE reflux most common cause.Perhaps tests ruled out some causes

Chest discomfort: A thorough history and careful physical examination are needed to differentiate the various causes of chest discomfort which include heart,lung,esophageal,rib cage problems as well as tension and stress tightening the chest muscles,pinched intercostal nerves which run between the two ribs and are aggravated by a deep breath; inflammation of the costochondral junction(at the breast bone and rib).
