See the pediatrician: You need to see the pediatrician. If this has been going on a while, your pediatrician will need to get a complete Hx and perform an exam, including plotting the weight on the growth chart to compare prior visits. It could be reflux or something else. You should seek immediate care is signs of dehydration (decreased tears, dry lips/mouth, lethargy, decreased urine output).

Consider probiotics: Always check with doctor if baby sick or not right. Sometime food sensitivities or allergies can cause the vomiting if not infection or blockage. Especially if infant c-section and/or bottle fed, their gut bacteria may not be as diverse and they do well with a formula with probiotic or a powder probiotic. Talk to doctor about maybe a different formula.

Seek help ASAP: You need to get the child to the pediatrician or family doctor as soon as possible. In order to avoid complications related to vomiting please, do not postpone the call to the doctor or waste time on home remedies.

Rwflux: This may be reflux. More info needed. Is your baby gaining weight? Is there any difficulty with breathing? Are there any other symptoms? Have you tried changing formulas? Medications? Probiotics? Have you discussed this with your pediatrician?

Reflux: Sounds as if he has rather significant reflux. While this is a messy malady, if he is growing and gaining weight and developing normally, don't panic. Talk to doc about anti-reflux formulas, feed small amounts more frequently, keep upright after feeds, good burping, etc. Now that he is at an age where he'll be more upright and eating solid foods, things should startto improve. If not, see doc.
