Terrible toddler: Assuming he's normal, his tantrums are not too unusual at this age. If you react when he throws one, you will reinforce it as acceptable behavior. The toddler is trying to sort out how to react to frustration or needs. Let him just wear out, walk away from it, being sure he is safe. Don't try to reason with him, because at that age it will be interpreted as acceptance of behavior.
