HTN: You can do a cardio workout safely but the bigger question here is: Is your BP well controlled most of the time when you're resting? If the lower number is averaging >90, your BP needs better control. You will find that after your workout is complete, your diastolic BP falls and this happens because the workout dilates your arteries, but don't confuse this for good BP control.
