Time will tell: This depends on the nature, severity of the stroke. Ask her neurologist for more details. The physiotherapist/ PT will offer her much help in restoring function. You may want to also get a integrative medical consultant on board, who could recommend a skilled acupuncturist/ medical qigong doctor, who can assist in restoring microcirculation to the brain, to accelerate her recovery. It may take time to heal.
