Are there minimally invasive procedures for hysterectomies that do not use morcellation devices?

Yes: if an appropriate candidate you can have a vaginal hysterectomy or laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy. Don't worry too much about the issue with morcelation. The media has blown it way out of proportion.

Yes, depends on doc!: Morcellation is only needed if a uterus is larger than a certain size. Usually the uterus can be removed INTACT using laparoscopic or vaginal techniques through a temporary opening in the vagina. If your surgeon is sufficiently skilled, this can be done WITHOUT a hospital stay! A subtotal hysterectomy (where the cervix is left in) DOES require morcellation. There is no advantage to this.
