As internal: stitches dissolve, some bleeding can be seen, should not be heavy, but likely dark in appearance. If heavy, talk with your doctor.

Post Hyst Bleeding: If you had a supracervical hysterectomy (cervix left) then you may experience some bleeding from time to time or even monthly for some women. If you had a total hysterectomy (uterus & cervix) then you really shouldn’t have any bleeding. You may have some granulation tissue at the cuff that spots, delayed suture absorption, or worst case that the cuff separated. See your GYN for an evaluation.
